Find Answers To Common Questions About Our Qurbani And Hady Services

General Qurbani Questions

Qurbani (also known as Udhiya) is the ritual sacrifice of an animal performed during Eid al-Adha to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah. It is an obligatory act of worship for every adult Muslim who meets the financial requirements (Nisab).
Qurbani is performed on the 10th, 11th, or 12th of Dhul Hijjah (the days of Eid al-Adha) after the Eid prayer.
Qurbani is obligatory upon every sane adult Muslim who possesses wealth equivalent to or above the Nisab threshold and is not travelling.
Acceptable animals include goats, sheep, cows, bulls, buffalo, and camels. Small animals (goats/sheep) count as one Qurbani, whilst large animals (cows/camels) can be shared by up to seven people.
